Here’s a screenshot from the next Wero Creative online project. It obviously has a tag cloud, but what could this tag cloud tell you about what we’re up to?

We’re hiring, can you draw?

Wero Creative is looking for a capable individual who is a graphic novel illustrator (or is looking to become one). The graphic novel will be distributed online to schools across Ontario as part of an interactive learning experience. The length of the novel will be between 50-60 pages.

Please feel free to submit your work.

We have not decided on any particular style and we’re willing to try anything. If you can send a link to sample artwork that would be appreciated.

Please contact adam at werocreative dot com with a link to your portfolio and rates. The ideal candidate is located in Toronto (or can come in for meetings) and is a Canadian citizen.

Idiotarod Toronto 2008 a go!

Idiotarod Toronto 2008 is going to happen on May 31st in Toronto (obviously). Adam is one of the organizers of the event and he says that “it’ll blow your socks off with it’s super-capacity of fun.”

Check out the site to have an questions about Idiotarod Toronto answered and each team needs to register. We’re happy to see that Torontoist as already picked up on the race.

The Iditarod is the famous Alaskan long-distance dog sled race, the IDIOTAROD is similar. Except instead of dogs and sleds, it’s people and shopping carts, it’s in Toronto, and it’s not long.

CIES in New York

Adam will be presenting a slightly revised version of the paper he presented at OISE Dean’s Conference in New York City at the CIES.

You can find him talking with his panel on Wed. March 19 at 3:30pm at Teachers College, which is part of Columbia University.

We’ve updated the site so it better describes what we do! It’s a work in progress so expect some evolutionary things to happen over the next little while. If you have any thoughts on the design please leave a comment.

Facebook wants to turn every member into a spokesman for its advertisers. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and chief executive of the superhot social network, today announced what the company calls “social ads.”

The ads expand what has been one of the most powerful features of Facebook, the news feed, where members see a list of what their friends are doing — photos from their parties, new friends, favorite bands and so on.
