The people behind the successful LonelyGirl15 have started Kate Modern, I think that it is really a shining example of where filmed entertainment is going. They have partnered with Bebo to distribute each episode. Kate apprently dosen’t remember anything that has happened to her and needs help from her friends remembering, the thing is is that her friends don’t all get along. The whole love triangle thing gets in the way.

One character thinks that Kate is going to be killed by some mysterious cult that conspires to kill and take the blood of young girls.

The above image is an example of the kind of challenges that the community supporting Kate Modern are supposed to solve. Note the obvious product placement.

The one thing that bothers me about what they have done is that there is no clear order to watch the videos in. Perhaps that’s to encourage people just diving in without feeling like they need to watch every video to catch up and figure out what’s going on. There is a way to become a ‘fan’ of Kate Modern to keep up to date with the show. I’m a fan.
